Vintage Olympia Splendid 66 typewriter with cursive typeface
1960s’ script typeface typewriter
This portable metal typewriter was made in the 1960s’ in West Germany, in a smart creamy/grey it has flashes of turquoise on the shift keys and platen knobs.
It types well (see photos) and has a sturdy feel to it, some of the keys are a little sticky but do loosen up with use.
It has a fantastic cursive or script typeface which are not easy to find, it has also had a new ribbon fitted.
There are a few little areas of wear here and there to the paint but nothing unexpected for its age or anything worrying.
The tan leather effect case does have some marks to it, particularly on the inside, the zip works well however the tag is missing and has been replaced by a keyring.
